Scandinavia is home to the world’s cleanest nature, purest air and brightest water. The forests offer a treasure trove of unique natural ingredients that are used in medicine, wellbeing and beauty. Of those ingredients we only pick the most potent, science-backed active compounds to our formulas. Against this backdrop Henua has created a sustainable range of face and body care that pays homage to simple Nordic luxury and ecological standards without compromising an ounce of efficacy.

BIRCH SAP
A birch tree is packed with nutrients. It also has an incredible water purification system. So when water filters through the tree, it draws into itself all the minerals, proteins, antioxidants and vitamins that naturally reside in the tree. That purified and supercharged water, is harvested each spring in Finland. To put it simply, birch sap is nature’s own supercharged vitamin water. Birch sap has an abundance of amino acids, enzymes, antioxidants and minerals that help your skin retain moisture and protect the skin barrier function.
SEA BUCKTHORN
This plant is actually a small, orange berry that grows in coastal, rugged areas like the shores of Finland but also in Asia. The little potent berry is especially high in vitamin C and vitamin E. In fact, the sea buckthorn plant berries contain over ten times more vitamin C than an orange, and are among the highest sources of vitamin E in the plant world. It is also one of the only natural sources to contain all four types of omega fatty acids: omega-3, omega-6, omega-7, and omega-9.
OAT
Oat works like a protective shield between your skin and the world. Not only it keeps moisture locked in the skin, but it also prevents irritants from getting in. By strengthening skin’s own protective barrier, oat effectively gives it time to heal itself. Oat helps retain moisture in the skin. For dry skin it eases moisture-loss, for oily skin it balances excess sebum production. Oat also combats skin damage; from minor itching to rash and rough skin to even psoriasis, oat comforts skin and helps it get back to its natural healthy state.
RECONNECTING NATURE®
Re-Connecting Nature™ is an innovative microbial extract developed by Uute Scientific found within HENUA’s Microbiome Mask. By leveraging the microbial diversity of Finnish soil, known for its health-promoting properties, this ‘world-first’ ingredient is scientifically proven to stimulate the immune system, offering a beacon of hope in the fight against rising autoimmune conditions. This ingredient is designed to recreate a natural balance, enhancing skin health, resilience, comfort, and appearance.
Our Story | Meet the HENUA Founders
Henua is a Finnish word, rooted deep in northern folklore and used still today to describe a a feeling of wellbeing, enjoyment and happiness. These qualities in mind, we set out to develop a skincare range so pure, so balanced and so luxurious, that it would enable everyone to feel that blissful Henua moment every day.
Our search for bliss began when our founder Jenni´s skin started to react to chemicals in her skincare products. What was meant to bring health and a moment of enjoyment to her turned into a struggle to find products that would only nourish and help her skin. Even though she had worked with cosmetics for 15 years it was only then she started to pay attention to what ingredients skincare products have – and what they don´t have.
With a degree already in cosmetology, she decided to broaden her expertise by studying organic skincare. Through her studies the idea was born to set out to create a range so pure and natural, it only had the active ingredients needed and so luxurious, it only had the best ingredients available. Growing up in Finland she was naturally already aquatinted with the botanicals the nature there provides. The cleanest and most potent ingredients in the world had been used in a myriad of ways for generations before her.
Together with her sister Anu they grew up watching their grandmother gather berries and put them into use in the kitchen and the garden. These superfoods growing in the Finnish forests had always been taken for granted.
Anu is the business acumen behind Henua. With her successful entrepreneur background she saw the opportunity to harness the powerful Nordic ingredients in skincare and build a brand that was so unique and so Finnish, it would set a new standard to Scandinavian luxury.
Together they set out find the best Finnish manufacturers and designers to help craft their idea of simple luxury into skincare reality. Now the products are manufactured in Finland, where every jar is filled with only the best natural actives that care and nourish skin.
And so Henua was born. Out of ambition to create the best possible skincare, with authenticity to the founders´ Finnish roots, and with humble honesty to what the products include.

Waterless Beauty
We do not use any plain water in our products.
At Henua, we don’t use plain water in our skincare. According to WWF no later than in a year of 2025 two third of a population of the world is suffering from the lack of clean drinking water, so cosmetic Industry should consider this serious issue while developing new products. We have replaced regular water in our products with e.g. natural Finnish birch sap. This nutrient and vitamin rich elixir is at the heart of our skincare philosophy of utilising only the most potent natural ingredients. So not using plain water is not only ecological but also very beneficial for the skin.
Certifications
Our products has Ecocert Cosmos Organic certification.
ECOCERT evaluates the raw materials used in our formulas to ensure ingredients are derived from renewable resources, manufactured by environmentally friendly processes, and are free from GMO and synthetics, evaluates our packaging to ensure it meets their biodegradable or recyclable criteria. Ecocert is globally recognized as the leader in natural and organic cosmetic certification, and was the first to develop standards for natural and organic cosmetics.
Recyclable
Our glass bottles are 100% recyclable. Remove the cap/spray/pump/dropper (and toss them away). Rinse bottles and recycle! Our secondary packaging is made of recycled cardboard. You can also re-recycle that.
Cruelty Free & 100% Vegan
Henua Organics believes that beauty products should be cruelty free. We are proud to be Leaping Bunny approved. A global programme, Leaping Bunny requires cruelty free standards over and above legal requirements.
All of our own brand cosmetic and personal care products are approved under the Cruelty Free International Leaping Bunny programme, the internationally recognisable gold standard for cruelty free products.
